Thor Larsen is a sculptor from Copenhagen, Denmark. He trained at the renowned Rudolf Steiner School (1992-2004). After graduating, following his passion for art, Thor Larsen enrolled in the basic course to become a goldsmith at the KTS, Technical School in Copenhagen (2004-2005). Subsequently at the EUC Professional Training Center he trained as a stonemason (2005-2009), graduating in this discipline with a bronze medal. The tension towards academic sculpture leads him to Florence, Italy.
Biography
Thor Larsen is a sculptor from Copenhagen, Denmark. He trained at the renowned Rudolf Steiner School (1992-2004). After graduating, following his passion for art, Thor Larsen enrolled in the basic course to become a goldsmith at the KTS, Technical School in Copenhagen (2004-2005). Subsequently at the EUC Professional Training Center he trained as a stonemason (2005-2009), graduating in this discipline with a bronze medal. The tension towards academic sculpture leads him to Florence, Italy. Here he followed the Sculpture course for 3 years and graduated with honors from the Florence Academy of Art in 2013. Today he teaches at the aforementioned academy as the main instructor and works in his private studio in Florence. His exquisitely academic style summarizes the beauty of classicism with a contemporary edge and attention to experimentation in contemporaneity
